Violet Silk, Silver-Leaf Kid Leather, and Gold

This one's still taking shape on my worktable, but I wanted to share it while it's dreaming — because this is exactly the kind of extravagant, slightly reckless piece that only gets made when I have the freedom to chase an idea just to see where it goes.

Right now the plan is violet silk, worked in silver with gold touches, using up the last of my silver-leaf kid leather — a material I don't have an endless supply of, so this piece is as much about using it well as using it up. I've also set aside a stash of silver pearl purl specifically for this design.

Sleeve lowers are still unplanned, and I'm debating whether the flowers themselves should be worked in gold against all that silver, or stay silver-toned throughout. Still deciding!
