This deep burgundy crimson dupioni is woven exclusively for me by Shalani. At 90 grams, it has a crisp hand that makes it easy to handle for sewing and embroidery. It’s about twice the weight of the silk typically sold in the U.S., giving it a satisfying substance while remaining versatile for many projects. Its the perfect weight for garb!

For my heavier goldwork embroidery, I back this silk with muslin or linen for added support.
