A replica of the forepart Katherine Parr wears in her famous full-length portrait, worked in real gold on deep onyx-black silk — right down to the gold fringe along the bottom hem,(not shown in the photo) the marker of her queenship. The gold reads especially striking against the black ground.

Around 300 hours of hand embroidery. Laid out the period way with a traditional pounce pattern — pricked and pounced by hand before a single stitch went down, not an iron-on transfer.

Made to tie on like an apron, so you can wear it over a kirtle right away, or sew it in as a forepart — whichever suits you.

Comes without gems or pearls, so you can customize the beadwork to your heart's delight. Matching lower sleeves and bodice fronts available as an add-on if you want the full look.
