Please note, on sale kit comes with 6mm glass pearls for the picot trim rather than kundan stones. The on sale kit will have three sew on kundan stones for the top of the goblet topper.
This is my Viking inspired goblet topper and honestly the stones alone make this kit extraordinary. These are heavy, genuine kundan stones — the kind that catch light like actual gemstones — and they are not cheap, not easy to source, and not something you're going to find in your average craft store.
The design itself is a replica of a solid gold Viking brooch. The gorgeous snake-like organic knotwork that Viking craftsmen were absolute masters of — worked in gold plated cording on rich royal purple dupioni silk, with a pearl cluster center and those incredible sapphire picot drops around the entire edge.
It looks like something that should be sitting in a museum case next to actual Viking jewelry. Instead you get to stitch it yourself and then plop it on top of your mead goblet at your next event. 😄
